The container relies on an airtight seal created by a separate lid. When the lid is pressed into place, it forms a barrier that slows temperature exchange, helping chilled food stay cold and hot food retain warmth. To use, the operator fills the container to the marked 20 litre capacity, places the lid on top and presses down until it clicks into position. The container can then be stacked with others of the same size, moved by the integrated handles, or slid into a refrigerator, hot cupboard or storage rack. When the contents are needed, the lid is lifted off and the container emptied or portioned directly from the vessel.

The body and lid are made from food-safe plastic that withstands repeated exposure to temperatures from -5 °C to +70 °C without warping or cracking. The material is lightweight yet strong enough to support the weight of filled containers stacked above it. Two ergonomic handles are moulded into opposite sides, allowing a secure grip when the container is carried or lifted from a shelf.

The 20 litre volume provides enough space for bulk storage without becoming too heavy to move when full. The footprint of 360 mm by 375 mm fits standard kitchen shelving and refrigerator racks, while the height is kept low to maximise vertical stacking. The temperature range allows the container to hold chilled ingredients, defrosting items or hot dishes ready for service.

Cleaning involves removing the lid, washing both parts in warm soapy water or a commercial dishwasher, and allowing them to air-dry before reassembly. The smooth surfaces and rounded corners prevent food particles from becoming trapped, reducing the time needed for thorough cleaning.
