650x530x318 mm
A perforated inner box sits inside a solid outer container to channel thawing liquids away from meat and fish. As food defrosts, meltwater drains through the holes into the base, keeping the product above the liquid so heat can reach every surface evenly. The lid seals the top to block airborne contaminants while the outer box catches any drips, preventing spills on worktops or cross-contamination with nearby ingredients.
Place the food inside the perforated inner box, remove any original packaging, then lower the inner box into the outer container. Cover with the lid and leave to thaw. The meltwater collects in the base, leaving the food exposed only to air, which speeds the process without risk of re-freezing or bacterial growth from standing liquid.
The inner box and lid are perforated to allow drainage; the outer box is solid to contain the liquid. Both are sized to fit together without shifting, so the unit can be carried as one piece once loaded. The footprint of 650 mm by 530 mm fits standard worktop depths, while the 318 mm height allows stacking under shelves or in cupboards when not in use.
A 70 L volume gives space for whole joints or bulk fillets, and the base holds up to 49 L of meltwater before it needs emptying. The construction keeps the thawing food separate from the liquid, so the operator can lift the inner box out without touching the water, reducing handling and cleaning time.
Cleaning follows the two-box design: remove the inner box, tip the liquid from the outer container, then wash both parts with hot water and sanitiser. The perforated surfaces dry quickly, ready for the next use.
