An electro-valve controls the flow of water into a commercial dishwasher by using an electrical signal to open or close a valve. When the dishwasher programme calls for water, the solenoid inside the valve energises, lifting a plunger against a spring. This opens the passage, allowing water to enter the machine at mains pressure. Once the required volume is reached, the signal stops, the spring returns the plunger, and the valve shuts, stopping the flow. The process repeats for each rinse or wash cycle, ensuring the correct amount of water is used without manual intervention.
The operator loads the dishwasher, selects the programme, and starts the cycle. The electro-valve then opens and closes automatically as the dishwasher progresses through its stages, requiring no further input until the cycle completes.
This electro-valve is a spare part designed to fit specific commercial dishwashers. It is listed in the Stalgast catalogue under dishwasher components.
