Easy-to-assemble shelf, depth 400 mm GREDIL 951884100

A stainless steel storage rack built for the demands of a professional kitchen, this GREDIL unit provides sturdy, solid shelves that hold heavy loads without sagging. Unlike slatted or perforated shelves, solid surfaces prevent small items from slipping through and make cleaning quicker, as there are no gaps for debris to lodge in. The rack stands on adjustable feet, allowing the operator to level it on uneven floors and to raise or lower individual shelves as storage needs change.

The rack arrives flat-packed in compact cardboard packaging, with all necessary assembly tools included. Each shelf can be positioned at any height along the vertical supports, so the user organises the interior to fit tall containers, stacked trays or shallow bins. A protective equipotential pin is fitted to the frame, ensuring the entire unit is safely earthed when connected to the kitchen's electrical system.

To assemble, the operator unpacks the components, attaches the side panels to the base, slides the solid shelves into the pre-drilled slots, and secures them with the supplied fasteners. Once assembled, the rack measures 1000 mm wide, 400 mm deep and 1800 mm high, giving a footprint that fits against a wall or between worktops while still allowing full access to the shelves. The 400 mm depth is chosen to accommodate standard gastronorm trays and bulk ingredients without overhang, while the 1000 mm width provides enough space for multiple containers side by side.

All parts are made of stainless steel, which resists corrosion from moisture and cleaning chemicals, and can be wiped down with a damp cloth or sanitised with standard kitchen sprays. The solid shelves are easy to sweep or mop, and the open sides of the rack allow air to circulate, reducing the risk of damp or stale odours.

This model is designed to integrate with Viegli saliekami plaukti modular kitchen systems, matching the height and depth of other Viegli units for a uniform look and seamless workflow.
