A chilled display cabinet keeps prepared food, desserts or chilled drinks visible and at safe serving temperature without drying them out. Forced cooling circulates cold air evenly across every shelf, preventing hot spots and condensation. The expansion valve regulates refrigerant flow to maintain the set temperature range, while automatic defrosting melts any ice build-up without manual intervention, ensuring the unit stays frost-free and ready for service.

The operator loads the shelves with trays or plates, then sets the desired temperature between +2 °C and +8 °C. LED lighting above the display area switches on to highlight the products, and night blinds can be drawn to reduce energy use when the kitchen is closed. The cabinet continues to circulate chilled air, keeping the contents within the safe zone until they are removed for service.

The construction is powder-coated steel, giving a durable, easy-to-clean surface that resists scratches and corrosion. The sides are available in double-glazed glass or solid steel; the solid version has a mirror-steel interior for a bright, reflective finish. Five rows of adjustable shelves allow the height to be set for different product sizes, and the night blinds roll down to cover the display when required.

The controls are simple: a thermostat sets the temperature within the +2 °C to +8 °C range, and the automatic defrosting programme runs without operator input. LED lighting is controlled by a separate switch.

A footprint of 2500 × 680 mm means the cabinet fits along a standard worktop or against a wall, taking up minimal floor space while providing 5.8 m² of useful display area. The 390 kg weight requires a solid floor and a trolley for moving; once in place, the unit remains stable during service.

Cleaning involves wiping the powder-coated steel exterior and mirror-steel interior with a damp cloth and mild detergent. The adjustable shelves can be removed for thorough cleaning, and the night blinds should be wiped down regularly to keep them free of dust and grease. The forced cooling system and automatic defrosting reduce the need for manual maintenance, but the air vents should be kept clear of obstructions to ensure proper airflow.

The YORK 250/70 is available in three configurations: without doors, with sliding doors, or with hinged doors. Each version provides the same cooling performance, lighting and adjustable shelving, allowing the operator to choose the access method that best suits the kitchen layout and service style.
