A cutlery basket holds forks, knives and spoons upright so that hot water and detergent reach every surface during the wash cycle. The open grid construction allows water to circulate freely, while the vertical dividers keep utensils separated so they do not nest together and trap food particles. This arrangement speeds up loading and unloading, reduces breakage and ensures each piece dries evenly without water spots.
The operator loads the basket by placing each utensil handle-down in its own slot. Once filled, the basket slides into the dishwasher rack or directly onto the machine's conveyor. After the cycle finishes, the basket lifts out as a single unit, keeping the cutlery organised for immediate sorting or storage.
The basket is constructed from stainless steel wire, which resists corrosion from water and detergent and withstands the high temperatures of commercial wash cycles. Its dimensions—140 mm height and 120 mm depth—determine the maximum length of utensil it can accommodate and the space it occupies in the dishwasher rack.
No controls are fitted; the basket functions purely as a holding and organising accessory.
Cleaning is limited to rinsing under a tap or running through the dishwasher with the cutlery to remove any detergent residue or food debris that may cling to the wire mesh.
