An extender rack adds nine more positions to a professional dishwasher, letting the machine wash more plates, trays or utensils in a single cycle without crowding the main rack. The unit sits on top of the existing rack, creating an upper tier that slides in and out with the lower one. Because the extender is open and unobstructed, water and detergent reach every item from above and below, ensuring even cleaning while doubling the usable space inside the machine.
The operator loads the extender after the main rack is filled: place each item face-down or face-up according to the dishwasher's instructions, then push the entire assembly into the machine. Once the cycle finishes, the extender comes out with the rack, ready for unloading. Its low profile keeps the door from fouling and allows the machine to close properly.
Construction is a square frame of stainless steel wire, welded for strength and finished to resist corrosion in the wet environment of a commercial kitchen. The 500 mm by 500 mm footprint matches standard dishwasher racks, so the extender aligns with the guides inside the machine and does not shift during operation. At 45 mm high, it provides enough clearance for most plates and shallow trays without raising the overall height beyond the machine's door seal.
No separate controls are required; the extender uses the dishwasher's existing wash and rinse programmes. Cleaning is limited to rinsing the wire frame after each use to remove food debris and detergent residue, preventing build-up that could interfere with drainage or hygiene.
The Stalgast extender is designed as a direct fit for most professional under-counter and pass-through dishwashers that accept standard 500 mm racks. It is sold as a single unit without additional accessories or variants.
