A plate stand organises crockery vertically so that plates, trays or platters are held edge-on rather than stacked flat. This method keeps each piece separate, preventing scratches and chips while making every item instantly visible and reachable. In a professional kitchen, speed and order matter: a stand lets staff pick the right plate without lifting others, and it frees worktop space for active tasks.
The stand is loaded by sliding each plate into an open slot from the front. Plates rest against a back rail or against one another, depending on the design, and the angled position stops them from toppling. Once loaded, the stand can be moved on castors or carried by handles to the pass, the servery or the storage cupboard. When service is over, plates are removed in the same way they were loaded, one at a time or in small batches.
Construction is stainless steel throughout, giving a rigid frame that resists bending under the weight of crockery. The 1000 mm width allows a full run of dinner plates, side plates or trays to be held side by side, while the 500 mm height keeps the centre of gravity low for stability. A footprint of 1000 × 255 mm fits neatly along a worktop or against a wall without blocking aisles.
No controls are fitted; the stand is purely mechanical. Its weight and footprint determine how it is positioned: light enough to be carried by one person, yet wide enough to hold a full service set without crowding.
Cleaning is straightforward: wipe the stainless steel frame with a damp cloth and mild detergent to remove fingerprints and food debris. The open design means no corners or crevices trap dirt, and the vertical slots let air circulate, reducing moisture build-up between plates.
The stand is supplied as a single unit, with no variants or accessories listed.
