An impulse freezer draws heat out of food or drink by forcing cold air across every shelf, then recirculating it through a coil chilled by refrigerant. The constant airflow prevents warm spots and keeps the temperature even from top to bottom, so every item freezes or chills at the same rate. In display mode the same fan system moves cold air behind the transparent panels, creating a curtain of cool that keeps the contents visible while shielding them from ambient warmth.

The OTF 87 BE loads from the front. The operator sets the desired programme—freezing at -18 to -21 °C or cooling at -1 to 5 °C—on the electronic panel, then places stock on the wire shelves. The horizontal LED strip lights the interior, making labels and packaging colours clear from across the shop. Once the door is closed, the ventilated cooling system starts automatically and the external display shows the running temperature. When the cycle finishes, the unit holds the set point until the next load.

The cabinet is finished in black with rounded corners and a full-length glass front. Four swivel wheels allow the unit to be rolled into position without lifting. Inside, the 102 L volume is organised on wire shelves that let air circulate freely. The refrigerant is R290a, a hydrocarbon that cools efficiently at low charge.

Controls consist of an electronic panel with an external digital display and push-button temperature selection. The display shows the current temperature and the chosen mode—freezing or cooling—so the operator can check settings at a glance.

A 0.38 kW power rating means the unit draws a modest load on a standard 230 V single-phase circuit, suitable for most shop and café distribution boards. The 80 kg weight allows two people to move the freezer without a trolley, while the 773 mm width and 930 mm depth fit through standard doorways and leave space for customer flow in front of the display. The -18 to -21 °C freezing range preserves frozen desserts, ice cream and pre-packaged meals; the -1 to 5 °C cooling range keeps beverages and chilled snacks ready for sale.

Cleaning follows from the construction: the wire shelves lift out for washing in a sink, the interior glass wipes with a damp cloth, and the external black panels clean with a mild detergent. The automatic defrost cycle removes ice build-up without manual intervention. The LED lighting is sealed and requires no maintenance.
