Temperature mode + 2 / + 6 SERVE OVER
A refrigerated serve-over showcase keeps chilled food visible and accessible while maintaining a steady low temperature. A compressor circulates refrigerant through a coil at the rear or beneath the unit, pulling heat from the interior. A fan then blows the cooled air across the shelves, ensuring an even temperature throughout the cabinet. This continuous cycle keeps perishable items fresh without freezing them, making it suitable for ready-to-eat foods like sandwiches, salads and confectionery. The operator loads the two removable shelves with products, then sets the electronic control box to the desired temperature between +2 °C and +6 °C. Once powered on, the unit automatically defrosts and evaporates condensate, so no manual drainage is required. The LED lighting illuminates the contents from above, while a rear mirror reflects the display for better visibility from the front. The showcase is designed for countertop or drop-in installation; when used as a drop-in, the front panel is removed to integrate it into a worktop or cabinet. The cabinet is constructed from stainless steel, which resists corrosion and is easy to clean. Two adjustable shelves provide flexible display space: one measures 640 mm by 388 mm, the other 640 mm by 458 mm. The overall footprint is 746 mm wide, 717 mm deep and 845 mm high, and the unit weighs 84 kg, which allows it to be moved with a trolley or two people. An electronic control box with a digital display lets the operator set and monitor the temperature. The unit operates on a 230 V single-phase supply, drawing 0.34 kW, which is typical for a small commercial refrigeration appliance. The temperature range of +2 °C to +6 °C is chosen to keep food chilled but not frozen, preserving texture and flavour while meeting food safety standards. Cleaning involves wiping the stainless steel surfaces and removable shelves with a damp cloth and mild detergent. The ventilation system should be kept free of dust by occasionally vacuuming the intake and exhaust grilles. The low-heat LED strips keep sandwich fillings crisp and labels legible without raising the internal temperature. The ADDA GN2 Serve Over is available in a hot-and-cold version, though this model is for chilled display only. It uses refrigerant R134a, which is commonly used in commercial refrigeration for its balance of efficiency and environmental safety.
