Temperature mode +2/ +12
A refrigerated display case keeps confectionery and other chilled goods visible and accessible while maintaining a steady low temperature. Instead of a built-in cooling unit, this model uses a separate remote unit placed up to two metres away. Thermoplastic hoses carry refrigerant between the unit and the case, allowing the case to be disconnected and reconnected without tools. The remote unit can be positioned under the case or in any ventilated space nearby, freeing up internal volume and reducing noise at the point of sale. The cooling process relies on static air circulation: the evaporator coil chills the air inside the case, and the air remains still rather than being blown by a fan. This gentle movement prevents dehydration of delicate items like pastries and cakes. An electronic control unit monitors the temperature and initiates automatic defrost cycles, melting any ice that forms on the coil. Condensation is evaporated automatically, eliminating the need for manual drainage. To load the case, open the rear sliding doors and place products on the two adjustable shelves. Set the desired temperature between +2 °C and +12 °C using the electronic control panel. The case maintains the chosen temperature continuously, even in ambient conditions of 25 °C and 60% humidity. Customers serve themselves from the front, where insulated glass keeps the interior visible while minimising heat transfer. The case is constructed from stainless steel, including the exterior and interior surfaces. The top, ceiling and side walls are insulated with polyurethane foam that contains no chlorofluorocarbons and has a density of 40 kg per cubic metre. The self-service configuration includes a flat worktop at the rear for additional display or preparation space. The electronic control unit allows precise temperature setting and displays the current reading. Automatic defrosting and condensation evaporation are managed by the same unit, requiring no manual intervention during normal operation. A power rating of 0.2 kW indicates a low electrical load, suitable for standard commercial circuits. The case measures 1005 mm wide, 620 mm deep and 640 mm high, fitting into compact retail spaces. At 74 kg, it can be moved by two people or with a small trolley. The temperature range of +2 °C to +12 °C accommodates most chilled confectionery, dairy and prepared foods without freezing them. The seamless stainless steel exterior resists fingerprints and smudges while you restock pastries between customer rushes. The rear sliding doors can be removed for thorough cleaning. The electronic control unit should be kept dry, and the remote cooling unit requires periodic inspection to ensure unobstructed airflow. The Big Horn 1000 Remote is available in two widths: 705 mm and 1005 mm. An optional standard kit (article 104KITBI01) provides necessary accessories. The case can be ordered with the remote unit positioned on either the right or left side. This refrigerated display case is categorised under professional refrigeration for retail environments, specifically for self-service applications in small and medium-sized shops.
