530x325x100
A stainless steel gastronorm container in the GN1/1 size holds prepared ingredients, cooked dishes or chilled components ready for service. The shallow 100 mm depth keeps food in a single layer, so portions stay visible and accessible without stirring or digging. Stacking lugs on the rim let identical containers nest securely, saving shelf space in refrigerators, hot cupboards or transport trolleys.
Gastronorm containers standardise the footprint across kitchen equipment: bain-maries, combi-steamers, blast chillers and worktop counters all share the same 530 × 325 mm grid. This container slides into any GN1/1 slot, so the same vessel moves from prep to storage to cooking to service without transferring contents. The 14 litre volume suits single batches of sauces, vegetables or desserts, or portioned proteins for plated service.
Loading is straightforward: place the container on a flat surface, fill to the rim, then lift by the reinforced edges. When stacked, the rim rests on the lugs of the container below, leaving an air gap that prevents condensation pooling. The stainless steel surface conducts heat evenly if the container is placed in a heated well or chilled shelf, so food stays at the target temperature without hot or cold spots.
Construction is 1 mm stainless steel, welded at the corners for strength and hygiene. The material withstands temperatures from -40 °C to +300 °C, so the container can be frozen, refrigerated, heated in a combi-oven or placed under a bain-marie tap. It is dishwasher-safe, and the smooth surface allows quick manual cleaning with a cloth or brush.
The 530 × 325 × 100 mm dimensions give a footprint that matches standard gastronorm racks and shelves. The 100 mm height keeps the centre of gravity low, so stacked containers remain stable on trolleys or in cupboards. The 14 litre capacity is large enough for bulk ingredients but shallow enough to avoid overloading refrigeration or heating units.
Cleaning follows from the construction: the welded corners have no crevices, so food residue does not lodge. The dishwasher-safe rating means the container can be run through a commercial wash cycle without warping or discolouration. For manual cleaning, the smooth stainless steel surface wipes clean with detergent and water, then dries quickly to prevent water spots.
This is the BASIC model in the Stalgast gastronorm range, compatible with all GN1/1 equipment regardless of brand. It is listed in the catalogue under Gastronorm Containers, Shallow Depth.
