temperature control up to 300°C
A contact grill presses food between two heated plates, transferring heat directly from both sides at once. This method cooks faster than an open grill, seals in juices and leaves clear grill marks without flipping. The top plate floats on hinges, adjusting to the thickness of the food so that burgers, panini or steaks make even contact across the whole surface.
The operator lowers the top plate onto the food, closes the safety latch and sets the temperature dial. A work switch starts the heating elements; the indicator light confirms the set temperature has been reached. The bottom plate has a raised edge that keeps food and juices on the grill, reducing spills and making the worktop easier to clean. A removable tray under the plates collects grease and residue, which can be emptied without lifting the grill.
The grill body is stainless steel, with a heat-resistant handle for safe handling. A safety thermostat cuts power if the temperature exceeds the set limit, preventing overheating. The temperature control adjusts from 50 to 300 °C, covering everything from gentle warming to high-heat searing.
The 3.6 kW power rating means the grill draws a steady load on a dedicated 230 V circuit, the standard for professional kitchen equipment. At 24.7 kg, the unit is heavy enough to stay stable on a worktop but can still be moved by two people. The footprint of 430 mm by 360 mm fits on most counters, leaving space for preparation alongside.
Cleaning involves wiping the plates after each service while still warm, then removing the grease tray to wash separately. The raised edge on the bottom plate and the smooth stainless steel surfaces reduce the area where food can stick, making daily upkeep quicker.
This model is the single-plate version; double and Panini configurations are also available under the same brand.
