A refrigerated display case keeps delicate pastries, cakes and confections at serving temperature while presenting them to customers without opening a door. The unit circulates chilled air behind a glass front; the air is drawn across an evaporator coil, cooled, then pushed gently over the shelves by a quiet fan. This closed loop maintains an even temperature throughout the cabinet, preventing warm spots that could spoil cream or melt chocolate. Because the glass remains shut, humidity stays low and condensation does not form on the surface of the desserts, preserving their texture and appearance for hours.
The operator loads the showcase from the rear through a sliding door. Each tempered-glass shelf is positioned at the desired height, and the pastries are arranged on plates or trays. The electronic control unit is set to the required temperature band, typically between +4 °C and +8 °C, and the unit is switched on. LED strips illuminate the interior, casting an even light that highlights the colours and details of the desserts. A hinged front glass panel swings open for quick restocking or cleaning, while automatic defrosting and evaporation cycles keep the coil free of ice without manual intervention.
The cabinet is built on a stainless-steel frame clad in double-glazed tempered glass. Shelves are also tempered glass, supported by adjustable brackets. A rear ventilation grille conceals the evaporator and fan assembly, while a condensate tray beneath collects defrost water for easy disposal. The entire unit stands on adjustable feet to level it on uneven floors.
Controls consist of a digital thermostat that sets and displays the cabinet temperature, and an on/off switch. The 0.510 kW power rating indicates the load the unit draws from a standard 230 V single-phase circuit, suitable for most commercial kitchens. At 143 kg, the showcase is heavy enough to remain stable during use but can still be moved by two people with a trolley. Its footprint of 590 mm by 735 mm fits on a standard worktop or counter, while the 1344 mm height allows customers to view products at eye level without stooping.
Cleaning involves wiping the glass surfaces daily with a mild detergent, removing the shelves weekly to wash them separately, and emptying the condensate tray. The hinged front panel and rear sliding door provide full access to the interior, and the automatic defrost cycle reduces the need for manual coil cleaning.
