Confectionery showcase Lumina 980 mm
A confectionery showcase keeps delicate pastries, chocolates and desserts at a steady cool temperature while displaying them through clear glass. The Lumina 980 mm model uses a refrigeration circuit charged with R290, a hydrocarbon refrigerant that absorbs heat from the interior and releases it at the rear condenser. This cycle maintains the showcase between +6 °C and +12 °C, preserving texture and appearance without freezing the products.
The operator loads the shelves from the front or the hinged rear panel, arranging items so they are visible through the curved glass. Once the thermostat is set within the +6/+12 °C range, the compressor starts automatically whenever the internal sensor detects a rise above the chosen temperature. The unit continues cycling until the showcase is switched off or emptied.
Construction combines a stainless-steel frame and interior with a chipboard casing finished in a matching laminate. Four adjustable glass shelves sit on stainless-steel brackets, allowing the height to be tailored to different product heights. The front and sides are double-glazed for insulation, while the top remains open for ambient lighting that highlights the display.
Controls are minimal: a digital thermostat on the side panel sets the target temperature, and an LED indicator confirms the unit is running. The 980 mm width provides a generous display frontage without occupying excessive floor space, while the 180 kg weight ensures stability once positioned. The +6/+12 °C range suits refrigerated desserts that must stay chilled but not frozen, such as mousses, éclairs and cream cakes.
Cleaning involves wiping the glass with a mild detergent, removing the shelves to wash them separately, and vacuuming the condenser coil at the rear to maintain airflow. The chipboard casing should be wiped with a damp cloth and never soaked.
Two versions are available: the refrigerated CH model maintains the +6/+12 °C range, while the neutral NE model omits the refrigeration circuit for ambient display only.
