Confectionery showcase Lumina 680 mm
A confectionery showcase keeps delicate pastries, chocolates and desserts at a steady cool temperature while displaying them under bright, even light. The unit draws heat from the cabinet with a refrigerant circuit, circulating the coolant through concealed coils. As the refrigerant evaporates, it absorbs heat from the interior, lowering the air temperature to the set range. A thermostat cycles the compressor to maintain the chosen level, preventing fluctuations that could spoil texture or appearance. The glass front and adjustable shelves let customers view the products without opening the cabinet, reducing temperature swings and energy use.
To use the showcase, position it on a level worktop or floor, plug it into a dedicated circuit and allow it to reach the target temperature. Load the adjustable glass shelves with confectionery, arranging items so air can circulate freely around each piece. Set the thermostat to the desired temperature between +6 °C and +12 °C, close the glass door and switch on the internal lighting. The unit will hold the temperature automatically, requiring only periodic checks to ensure the door seals remain clean and intact. When restocking, open the door for the shortest time possible to minimise warm air entering the cabinet.
The Lumina 680 mm showcase is built from stainless steel and chipboard, combining durability with a clean, professional finish. Adjustable glass shelves provide flexible display options, while the stainless steel exposition surface supports heavier items. The refrigerant R290 is a hydrocarbon with low environmental impact, chosen for its efficiency in small to medium refrigeration systems.
Controls are minimal: a thermostat dial sets the temperature within the +6 °C to +12 °C range, and an on/off switch for the internal lighting. The 680 mm width fits standard worktop depths, allowing seamless integration into counters or standalone units. The 150 kg weight requires two people to move safely, and the footprint of 680 mm by 825 mm must be planned into kitchen or retail layouts to allow door clearance and customer access.
Cleaning involves wiping the glass shelves and stainless steel surfaces with a mild detergent solution, avoiding abrasives that could scratch the finish. The door seals should be checked regularly for debris and cleaned with a damp cloth to maintain an airtight closure. The chipboard casing should be kept dry to prevent swelling or warping.
Two versions are available: a refrigerated model (CH) that maintains the +6 °C to +12 °C range, and a neutral model (NE) for ambient display without cooling. Both share the same dimensions, materials and adjustable shelving system.
The showcase is categorised under professional confectionery equipment, designed for bakeries, patisseries and retail environments where presentation and temperature control are critical.
