A heating element boiler generates the hot water that professional dishwashers use to clean and sanitise tableware, pots and utensils. It consists of an electric resistance element submerged in a water chamber. When power is applied, the element heats the water rapidly, raising its temperature to the level the dishwasher programme requires. The heated water is then pumped into the wash tank, where it dissolves detergent and removes food residues. Because the element is in direct contact with the water, heat transfer is efficient and the water reaches the target temperature quickly, reducing the time between loading and the first wash cycle.
To use the boiler, the operator first ensures the dishwasher is connected to a suitable electrical supply and that the water inlet is open. The dishwasher control panel is set to the desired programme. When the machine starts, the boiler element activates automatically, heating the incoming water. The dishwasher's internal pump circulates the hot water through the wash arms, spraying it over the items in the rack. The boiler continues to heat water as needed throughout the cycle, maintaining the temperature required for effective cleaning and sanitising.
The heating element boiler is constructed as a sealed unit with a metal housing. The element itself is typically made of corrosion-resistant material to withstand constant exposure to water and detergent. Electrical connections are enclosed to protect against moisture and ensure safe operation.
The 230 V supply requirement means the boiler must be connected to a dedicated circuit capable of handling its 6000 W load. In a professional kitchen, this usually means a separate circuit with the appropriate amperage to prevent tripping or overheating. The power rating also indicates how quickly the boiler can raise water temperature, allowing the dishwasher to begin its cycle without long delays.
Cleaning and maintenance involve regular inspection of the element and housing for scale or corrosion. Descaling agents may be used periodically to remove mineral deposits that can reduce heating efficiency. The electrical connections should be checked for signs of wear or moisture ingress, and the unit should be replaced if any damage is found.
This heating element boiler is a direct replacement part for specific models of AGB, Angelo PO, GIGA, SILANOS and Whirlpool-Indesit dishwashers. It fits conveyor, hood and pull-through dishwashers, as well as pan and utensil washing machines from these brands.
