Airtight food containers maintain freshness by sealing out oxygen that causes spoilage. The lid presses a flexible gasket against the rim of the container, creating a barrier that slows oxidation and moisture loss. This method keeps ingredients crisp, flavours intact and shelf life extended without freezing or chemical preservatives.
The container is loaded with prepared food or ingredients, then the lid is pressed down until the double airtip lip clicks into place. A small channel in the lid allows excess air to escape, reducing the oxygen that remains inside. When the lid is sealed, the container can be stacked, labelled and stored in a refrigerator, cupboard or transport rack. To open, the operator lifts the tab on the lid; the seal releases cleanly without sticking.
Made of food-safe plastic, the container is rigid enough to stack under load yet light enough to carry by hand. The lid is fitted with a flexible silicone gasket that forms the airtight seal. Colour-coded clips snap onto the rim for quick identification of contents, and an IML (in-mould label) traceability label is embedded in the plastic for permanent batch tracking.
The 325 mm by 176 mm footprint matches the GN 1/3 gastronorm standard, so the container slides into standardised racks, trolleys and refrigerated cabinets. The 100 mm depth holds 4 L of liquid or solid food, making it suitable for portioned sauces, prepped vegetables or bulk ingredients. The weight remains low enough for one-handed handling, while the rigid walls prevent bulging under load.
Cleaning is done by hand or in a commercial dishwasher; the smooth plastic surfaces and removable gasket allow thorough rinsing. The airtight seal is checked by pressing the lid and listening for the escape of air; if the seal weakens, the gasket can be replaced without discarding the container.
Available in multiple colours for colour-coded storage systems.
