BHS stainless steel shelf for dish drying with drip tray. Durable construction, designed for wall mounting, available in various sizes – a reliable and practical solution for kitchens where durability, hygiene, and work efficiency are essential.
Plate capacity: 40
Max. plate diameter: ⌀ 300 mm
A wall-mounted dish drying shelf keeps plates, bowls and serving ware upright so air circulates freely around each piece. Moisture drains from the surfaces and collects in a tray beneath, preventing puddles on the worktop and reducing the risk of recontamination. The two-tier arrangement doubles the usable space without increasing the footprint, allowing staff to unload a full rack of washed dishes in one movement and move on to the next task while the first batch dries naturally.
The operator fixes the shelf to the wall at a comfortable working height, then loads washed items onto the rungs. Plates up to 300 mm in diameter stand securely; smaller items such as saucers or side plates can be placed on both tiers. Water drips from the crockery into the integrated tray, which is removed and emptied at intervals. No power or controls are required; the shelf remains ready for use throughout the service period.
The unit is constructed from stainless steel, chosen for its resistance to corrosion and ease of cleaning. The wall brackets and tray are formed from the same material, ensuring a consistent finish and long-term durability under daily exposure to moisture and detergents. The 1200 mm width provides a broad drying area that fits standard commercial dish racks, while the 470 mm depth keeps the shelf within easy reach without encroaching on the worktop below.
A single shelf of this size holds up to forty plates, allowing a full wash cycle to be unloaded in one operation. The wall-mounted design frees the worktop for other tasks and keeps the drying area off the floor, reducing the risk of accidental knocks and improving hygiene. The drip tray collects residual water, which is tipped away at the end of the shift or whenever the tray is full.
Cleaning is straightforward: the tray is removed and washed separately, while the shelf and brackets are wiped down with a damp cloth and mild detergent. The stainless steel surface resists staining and does not harbour bacteria, meeting the hygiene standards required in professional kitchens.
The Novameta dish drying wall shelf is available in various widths to suit different kitchen layouts. Custom sizes can be manufactured to match specific requirements or to fit non-standard spaces, ensuring the shelf integrates seamlessly with existing workflows.
