A vibratory pump moves liquids by converting electrical energy into rapid mechanical oscillations. Inside the pump, an electromagnetic coil drives a diaphragm or piston back and forth at high frequency. Each oscillation creates a small pressure pulse that pushes the liquid through the outlet, while a one-way valve prevents backflow.
To operate, the pump is connected to the liquid reservoir and the dispensing line. When power is applied, the coil energises and the diaphragm begins to vibrate, drawing fluid in and expelling it in a continuous cycle. The operator sets the flow rate by adjusting the voltage or using an external controller, if fitted. No priming is needed, and the pump stops instantly when power is cut.
The EP4 is constructed with a sealed electromagnetic assembly and a food-grade diaphragm. The housing is designed to resist corrosion and withstand the acids and sugars found in beverage syrups. Electrical connections are made via a standard cable and plug rated for 220 V mains supply, allowing it to run on the same circuit as other catering equipment.
This 48 W unit is a direct replacement for pumps in CEME and ULKA beverage dispensers. It fits the mounting points and fluid connections of those makes without modification, ensuring a quick swap during maintenance.
The pump is listed in the catalogue under beverage-dispensing spares and fluid-transfer components.
