A vibratory pump moves water by oscillating a small piston inside a sealed chamber. An electromagnetic coil pulls the piston back and forth fifty times a second, creating rapid pressure pulses that push the water forward without rotating parts. This design eliminates gears and seals that wear, giving quiet, low-maintenance flow for espresso machines and vending units.
To install the pump, the operator disconnects the mains, removes the old unit and fits the EP5GW in its place. Electrical terminals are connected to the 230 V supply, and inlet and outlet hoses are secured. Once the mains is restored, the pump begins oscillating as soon as the machine calls for water, drawing from the reservoir and delivering it to the brew group or boiler.
The pump body is constructed from food-safe materials, and the coil is enclosed in a sealed housing to prevent moisture ingress. A single power rating of 48 W indicates the load it places on the circuit, suitable for standard domestic and light commercial wiring.
The 230 V, 50 Hz specification matches the mains supply in the United Kingdom and Europe, ensuring compatibility with the listed coffee and vending machines. The absence of moving seals reduces the risk of leaks and extends service intervals.
Cleaning is limited to wiping the exterior with a damp cloth; the sealed design prevents internal access. The pump is a direct replacement for the original part in the models named, requiring no modification or additional components.
This pump fits De'Longhi, Lavazza and Saeco coffee machines and vending machines as specified in the catalogue.
