made of brass
HNBR/PTFE sealing
This vacuum valve allows air into the boiler of a commercial espresso machine, breaking any vacuum formed as the boiler cools. Without it, trapped air can stop the next heating cycle or create uneven pressure, affecting coffee extraction. The valve opens automatically at low pressure, letting air in, then seals again once pressure balances.
Installation requires the machine to be switched off and the boiler drained. The existing valve is removed from the 1/4" male-threaded port on the boiler. The new LF valve is screwed in by hand until seated, then secured with a spanner. After reconnecting water and power, the machine is restarted, and the valve is checked for proper air release during cooling.
The valve is made from brass, selected for its durability in steam environments. The 1/4" male BSP thread matches standard boiler ports. Inside, a spring-loaded disc seals against a rubber seat, keeping the valve closed when not in use.
Compatible with a wide range of models, including ASTORIA's PRATIC and RAPALLO, FAEMA's E61 and E91, LA MARZOCCO's LINEA and FB80, WEGA's COMPACT and COLOSSEUM, and CIMBALI's M20 and M30. It also suits certain Lavazza vending machines.
Maintenance involves wiping the brass surface occasionally with a damp cloth to remove residue. The internal mechanism is factory-sealed and should not be disassembled.
