Reinforced tray trolleys with a durable stainless-steel construction. Suitable for intensive professional use.
A heavy-duty stainless steel trolley organises up to twenty GN1/1 gastronorm trays in a single mobile unit, keeping ingredients, prepared dishes or plated meals secure during transport across the kitchen or into service areas. The unit rolls on multi-directional wheels, allowing the operator to steer it through tight corridors and around corners without lifting or tilting the load. Each wheel is fitted with a catch that locks the trolley in place once it reaches its station, preventing accidental movement while trays are loaded or unloaded.
The trolley's frame and sliding surfaces are built from stainless steel, chosen for its resistance to corrosion, ease of cleaning and ability to withstand the repeated impact of trays being pushed into place. White side panels made of perfex enclose the sides, shielding the contents from airborne contaminants and reducing the risk of spills during transit. A rubber bumper runs along the base, absorbing minor collisions and protecting both the trolley and surrounding worktops or cupboards from damage.
Loading the trolley follows a straightforward sequence. The operator releases the wheel catches, positions the trolley at the loading station, then slides each GN1/1 tray onto the stainless steel runners. Once all twenty trays are in place, the operator engages the catches to secure the trolley, then pushes it to its destination. The sliding surfaces allow trays to be inserted or removed without lifting, reducing strain on the operator and speeding up the transfer process.
The trolley's footprint of 810 by 620 millimetres fits within standard kitchen aisles, while its height of 1740 millimetres keeps the trays at a comfortable working level for most operators. The 80-kilogram maximum load capacity allows the trolley to carry fully laden trays without risk of structural failure, though the weight must be distributed evenly to maintain stability. Multi-directional wheels with a diameter of 125 millimetres provide smooth movement over uneven floors, such as those found in older kitchens or outdoor catering areas.
Cleaning is limited to the parts named in the construction. The stainless steel frame and sliding surfaces are wiped down with a damp cloth and mild detergent after each use to remove food residues or spills. The white perfex side panels can be cleaned with the same solution, though abrasive pads should be avoided to prevent scratching. The rubber bumper is wiped with a damp cloth to remove dirt, and the wheels are checked periodically for debris that might impede movement or damage the floor.
An optional bottle holder, available in stainless steel or ABS, can be fitted to the side of the trolley for carrying liquids or condiments alongside the trays. While the trolley is standardised for GN1/1 trays measuring 530 by 325 millimetres, it can be customised to accommodate other tray sizes if required. Trays are not included with the trolley and must be purchased separately.
This model is categorised under heavy-duty trolleys in the FORCAR professional catering equipment range.
