A mobile worktop that carries ten full-size Gastronorm trays from kitchen to servery or from preparation to holding.
The principle is simple: a rigid frame on lockable castors rolls smoothly across floors, while side panels keep trays from sliding off during transit. No motor or power is needed; the trolley is pushed by hand, so it can be used anywhere in the building without trailing cables or waiting for a lift. The height is set so that the top tray is at standard worktop level, allowing staff to slide trays on and off without lifting.
To use the trolley, unlock the castors, wheel it to the loading point, and slide each tray into its slot. The side panels guide the tray edges and prevent lateral movement. Once loaded, lock the castors to keep the trolley stationary while plating or portioning. When ready, unlock, push to the service area, and slide trays onto counters or into hot cabinets. The same sequence in reverse returns empty trays to the wash-up.
The frame is constructed from tubular steel for strength and lightness. Side panels are solid sheet steel, powder-coated for durability and easy cleaning. Castors are industrial-grade with foot-operated brakes on the rear pair.
The stated capacity of ten trays means the trolley can hold a full banquet service for a single course, or a mix of starters, mains and desserts for smaller events. The footprint of 520 by 620 mm fits through standard kitchen doorways and alongside worktops without blocking aisles. The overall height of 1750 mm places the top tray at a comfortable working height for most staff, reducing strain on backs and shoulders.
Cleaning is straightforward: wipe the steel surfaces with a damp cloth and mild detergent, then dry to prevent water marks. The powder-coated finish resists scratches and corrosion, so the trolley remains presentable even after repeated use. Castors should be checked periodically for wear and lubricated if they begin to squeak.
The trolley is supplied as a single unit, ready to use with no assembly required. It is classified as a general-purpose catering trolley and appears in the FORCAR catalogue under Mobile Storage & Transport.
