This vertical toaster channels burger buns along a heated passage on a continuous belt. Heat radiates from above and below, crisping the exterior while keeping the interior soft. The belt moves at a steady pace, ensuring each bun receives uniform heat exposure for consistent results. This approach avoids the uneven outcomes typical of grills or flat-tops, where heat and pressure vary with each batch.
Buns are fed into the chute at the front. Two separate wheels adjust the gap for the top and bottom halves, accommodating the patty's thickness. A single ON/OFF button activates the belt and heating elements. The adjustable speed controls the duration the bun spends in the passage, while the thermostat regulates the heat from a light warm to a deep toast. The buns emerge at the back, prepared for assembly.
The exterior is constructed from stainless steel, designed to withstand the heat and humidity of a busy kitchen. Two wheels on the front allow the unit to be tilted and manoeuvred into position. Controls include an ON/OFF button, a speed dial, and a thermostat knob ranging from 60 °C to 300 °C.
The toaster operates at 2.2 kW and requires a 230 V supply, compatible with standard single-phase outlets in commercial kitchens. Weighing 25.5 kg, it is manageable for one person to move yet remains stable once positioned. Its 675 mm width fits between standard worktop units, and the 570 mm height clears most overhead shelves.
Maintenance involves cleaning the stainless steel surfaces and the belt. The belt can be removed for washing, and the heating elements and passage should be wiped down after use to remove crumbs and grease. The thermostat and speed controls must be kept dry to prevent damage.
The CTVGV is available as a single model, listed in the Casselin catalogue under High-Speed Toasters, Burger Equipment.
