A mechanical timer governs the wash, rinse and drying cycles of a commercial dishwasher by rotating a set of cams that open and close electrical contacts at precise intervals. Each cam is shaped to hold a contact closed for the duration of one stage—pre-wash, detergent wash, rinse, final rinse or drying—so the sequence runs automatically once the operator starts the machine. The four-cam design allows the timer to manage the full programme without electronic components, giving consistent results even in high-volume kitchens where the machine runs continuously.

To use the timer, the operator loads the dishwasher, closes the door and turns the control knob to the desired programme. The knob advances the cams, which then close the appropriate contacts in turn, powering the pump, heater and detergent dispenser at the correct moment. When the final cam completes its rotation, the machine stops and the operator can unload the clean ware.

The unit is constructed as a sealed module with a metal housing and plastic cams. It mounts directly into the control panel of the dishwasher, connecting to the existing wiring harness without additional adapters.

This timer fits ELFRAMO dishwashers BE50, BE50T and D30; EMMEPI models LS055E and LS055EP; and KOMEL dishwashers F93 and glasswashers BE50 KOMEL and BE50T KOMEL.
