A thermostat maintains the temperature inside refrigeration units, warming cabinets and other climate-controlled catering equipment by switching the heating or cooling circuit on and off at set points. The TSC-093 model from LF senses the ambient temperature with a capillary tube and bulb filled with a temperature-sensitive fluid. As the fluid expands or contracts, it moves a diaphragm that opens or closes an electrical contact, keeping the appliance within the programmed range without continuous power.
To use the thermostat, the operator sets the desired temperature on the control dial. The unit then monitors the environment, activating the compressor, heater or fan only when the temperature drifts outside the set limits. This cycling prevents over-cooling or overheating, reduces energy use and extends the life of the appliance.
The TSC-093 is constructed as a compact module with a capillary sensing element and a mechanical switch housed in a durable casing. It connects to the appliance's electrical circuit via screw terminals, allowing straightforward installation in place of the original part.
The temperature range of -35 °C to +35 °C covers both refrigeration and gentle warming applications, making the thermostat suitable for blast chillers, holding cabinets, display fridges and proofing drawers. Its weight and footprint are minimal, so it fits into the existing control panel without modification.
Cleaning is limited to wiping the casing with a damp cloth; the capillary tube and switch must never be immersed or sprayed with liquid.
This thermostat is a direct replacement for parts numbered TSC-093C, LF3444987, 543206 and 543228, ensuring compatibility with a wide range of professional catering equipment.
