Drop In model.
Made of AISI 304 18/10 stainless steel.
A refrigerated teppanyaki-style plate cools to sub-zero temperatures, turning liquid mixtures into solid, sculpted ice cream and desserts in moments. Instead of churning in a freezer, the ingredients spread across the chilled surface and freeze on contact, letting the operator roll, fold or cut them into shapes while the audience watches. The same plate handles granitas, sorbets, instant chocolate garnishes and even chilled savoury dishes, so a single station can serve both sweet and savoury menus without switching equipment.
The operator pours the base mixture onto the plate, then uses spatulas to spread and manipulate it as it sets. Once the edges begin to freeze, the mixture can be rolled into cylinders, layered with fillings or cut into decorative pieces. Temperature control lets the plate run at different settings for softer or firmer results, while the rapid chill means each batch is ready in seconds rather than hours.
Built from 18/10 AISI 304 stainless steel, the plate resists corrosion and stands up to daily cleaning. A tropicalised compressor keeps the unit running in warm kitchens, and the control panel includes pre-programmed start-up routines to simplify operation. The plate is designed to fit into custom cabinetry, so it can be integrated into existing counters or mobile stations without requiring a dedicated stand.
The 230 V single-phase supply matches standard UK commercial circuits, and the 1.23 kW power rating indicates a moderate load that can share a circuit with other small appliances. The 680 mm by 610 mm footprint fits on most worktops, leaving space for ingredients and tools around the plate. Adjustable temperature settings from 0 °C to -38 °C open a range of processes: higher settings for softer sorbets and granitas, lower settings for firm ice cream rolls and instant chocolate work.
Cleaning follows from the stainless-steel construction: the plate can be wiped down with sanitising solution after each service, and the compressor's sealed design requires no internal maintenance. The unit is supplied as a single plate assembly for installation into custom cabinetry.
The DP/TPICE model is the refrigerated plate only, intended for operators who want to build their own display or counter around it. It sits in the CASTA catalogue under refrigeration and ice-cream equipment.
