A brass T-fitting joins three 1/4" male water lines in a single junction, letting one inlet feed two outlets or two inlets merge into one outlet without extra valves.
The fitting has no moving parts. It relies on tapered threads that seal when tightened, so water or steam flows through the straight run and the branch without leaking. The shape keeps pressure drop low, which is critical in espresso machines where pump pressure must reach the brew group unchanged.
To install, the operator wraps PTFE tape around each of the three male threads, screws the fitting into the first connection until hand-tight, then aligns the remaining two ports with the corresponding lines and tightens them with a spanner. No tools are needed beyond the spanner, and the fitting can be removed and reused if the circuit is drained first.
The body is machined from brass, a material chosen for its resistance to corrosion by water and steam, its thermal conductivity, and its ability to be cut with fine threads. Brass also does not gall when tightened against stainless-steel fittings common in coffee machines.
This T-fitting fits Cimbali M39-GT, Conti SK2 and SSK2, and a range of Spaziale models: S1, S2, S8, S9, S9-COMPACT, S9-DSP, S40-CLASSIC, S40-ELEKTRIK, S40-SELETRON, S40-SUPREMA, S5, S50 and S5-COMPACT, including all revisions listed in the catalogue.
In the parts catalogue it is placed under "Water circuit components" for professional espresso machines.
