F3/4"BSP tapered end - pipe ø 8 mm
A straight fitting for John Guest push-fit pipe systems, this component creates a secure, leak-proof joint in professional catering water and gas lines without the need for soldering, clamps or glue.
Push-fit fittings rely on a collet and O-ring seal inside the fitting body. When a pipe is inserted, the collet grips the pipe wall while the O-ring compresses against it, forming an instant seal. The grip tightens as pressure increases, preventing the pipe from being pulled out. This method eliminates heat, flame or adhesives, making it suitable for confined spaces and rapid installation.
To use the fitting, cut the pipe square and remove any burrs. Push the pipe into the fitting until it bottoms out; the collet will click into place. Pull the pipe gently to confirm the grip. No tools are required, and the joint can be released by pressing the collet collar and pulling the pipe free, allowing for quick reconfiguration or maintenance.
The fitting is constructed from acetal copolymer, a material chosen for its strength, chemical resistance and dimensional stability. The O-ring is typically EPDM, which withstands hot water, detergents and low-pressure steam common in catering environments.
This straight fitting is compatible with John Guest Speedfit and equivalent push-fit pipe systems, fitting standard metric pipe sizes used in professional kitchens for water, beverage lines and low-pressure gas applications.
The fitting is listed in the LF catalogue under pipework components for catering equipment installation and maintenance.
