M1/4"BSP - pipe ø 6 mm
A straight fitting from the John Guest Speedfit range, this LF article connects fluid lines in professional catering appliances without tools. The push-fit design uses a collet and O-ring to seal the tube instantly when inserted, eliminating leaks and speeding up installation or repairs in busy kitchens.
The operating principle relies on a stainless-steel grab ring inside the fitting. When a tube is pushed in, the ring grips its surface and holds it firmly. An O-ring, seated in a groove, compresses against the tube to create a watertight seal. The system works with both plastic and copper tubing, allowing it to adapt to different plumbing setups found in commercial refrigeration, beverage dispensers and combi ovens.
To use the fitting, cut the tube square and deburr the end. Push the tube into the fitting until it bottoms out; the collet locks it in place. To release, press the collet collar and pull the tube free. No clamps, solder or thread tape are needed, so the process is repeatable and reversible.
The fitting is manufactured to John Guest specifications and is compatible with appliances from CELLI, CEM Industries, EPMS and other John Guest-equipped catering units. It serves as a direct replacement for part PM010612E across those brands.
In a working kitchen, the fitting's quick-release design reduces downtime during maintenance or reconfiguration of water-fed equipment. Its compact size allows installation in tight spaces behind worktops or inside cupboards where threaded fittings would be awkward to reach.
Cleaning is limited to wiping the exterior with a damp cloth; the internal seal and grab ring are not serviced. Store the fitting dry to prevent corrosion of the metal components.
