A stop wing controls the movement of the ice-making mechanism in ITV commercial icemakers. It acts as a mechanical limit, ensuring the ejector arm or harvest plate stops at the correct position after releasing ice cubes. Without this part, the arm could over-travel, damaging the evaporator or causing incomplete ice release. The stop wing is fixed to the frame or side panel, where it intercepts the moving component at the end of its cycle, halting it precisely so the next batch of ice can form without interruption.
To replace the stop wing, the operator first isolates the icemaker from the power supply. The side or rear panel is removed to expose the internal mechanism. The old stop wing is unbolted from its mounting point, and the new one is aligned so its contact surface meets the moving arm at the exact moment the ice is released. Once secured, the panel is refitted, power is restored, and the icemaker is restarted. The stop wing requires no adjustment; its position is set during manufacture to match the geometry of the specific model.
The LF stop wing is manufactured to ITV's original specifications and fits the NGQ and Quasar ranges listed. It is a direct replacement for the part originally supplied with the icemaker, ensuring compatibility with the existing control sequence and mechanical linkage.
This spare part is stocked in the refrigeration spares section of the catalogue, under icemaker components.
