Gredil steam extractor is a professional wall box-type extractor that provides effective collection of steam and grease. Durable construction, easy installation and the ability to adjust the lighting for various HoReCa requirements.
A wall-mounted box-type steam extractor draws steam, grease and cooking odours away from the hob and worktop before they spread through the kitchen. The unit sits above the cooking line, pulling air upwards through a canopy that catches airborne grease particles on replaceable filters. A fan inside the housing then forces the cleaned air into ducting that leads outside, keeping the kitchen atmosphere clear and comfortable for staff.
The operator positions the extractor so the front edge aligns with the edge of the hob. Once mounted, the canopy remains in place while the grease filters slide out for cleaning. Two 250 mm exhaust collars at the rear connect to ducting that carries the extracted air outside. A drain valve at the base collects condensed moisture, preventing it from dripping back onto the work surface.
The GREDIL extractor is built from stainless steel, chosen for its resistance to corrosion and ease of cleaning in a busy kitchen. The canopy measures 2010 mm wide, 1000 mm deep and 400 mm high, providing coverage for a long cooking line. Fixings for wall or central mounting are included, allowing the unit to be secured directly to a wall or suspended from a ceiling support.
Controls are minimal: the extractor runs whenever the kitchen ventilation system is active. Two screw-on lamp housings are provided, ready for optional lighting that improves visibility over the hob. The exhaust collars accept a standard 250 mm duct, and a removable nozzle allows the connection to be swapped for alternative diameters of 150, 200 or 315 mm if the kitchen layout changes.
A 2010 mm width means the extractor spans multiple cooking stations, reducing the number of separate units needed. The 1000 mm depth ensures the canopy overhangs the hob far enough to capture rising steam without encroaching on headroom. The 400 mm height keeps the unit compact while still housing the fan and filters. Grease filters are included, and their removal for cleaning is straightforward, helping maintain airflow and hygiene.
The extractor is supplied without lamps; two screw-on hood lamps can be added to illuminate the cooking area. A drain valve at the base simplifies the removal of collected moisture, preventing build-up that could affect performance or cleanliness.
The GREDIL wall-mounted box-type steam extractor is categorised under professional ventilation equipment for commercial kitchens.
