Gredil steam extractor is a professional wall-mounted box-type extractor that provides effective collection of steam and grease. Durable construction, easy installation and the ability to adjust lighting for various HoReCa needs.
A wall-mounted box hood draws steam, grease and cooking odours directly from the hob and worktop into a canopy that sits flush against the wall. A powerful extraction fan pulls the contaminated air through a series of baffle filters that trap grease droplets, preventing them from entering the ductwork. The cleaned air is then expelled outside through a duct connected to the exhaust collar, maintaining a clear and comfortable atmosphere in the kitchen.
The operator positions the hood above the cooking line, secures it to the wall with the supplied catches, and connects the 250 mm exhaust collar to the building's extraction system. Two screw-on lamps can be fitted to illuminate the work surface, and the connector can be swapped for one that matches the existing ducting. A drain valve at the base collects condensed grease for periodic emptying.
The canopy is constructed from stainless steel, chosen for its resistance to corrosion and ease of cleaning. Grease filters are included and can be removed for washing. The removable connection nozzle allows the operator to change the outlet diameter by purchasing additional nozzles in 150 mm, 200 mm or 315 mm sizes.
Controls are minimal: the extraction fan is typically wired into the kitchen's ventilation system and operated by a separate switch or integrated with the hob. The optional lighting is controlled by its own switch.
A footprint of 1510 mm by 1000 mm by 400 mm determines the space the hood occupies on the wall above the cooking equipment. The 250 mm exhaust collar sets the diameter of the ductwork required, and the two outlet branches allow the hood to serve two separate extraction points if needed. The weight of the unit is carried by the wall mounting, so the strength of the wall and the fixings must be sufficient to support it.
Cleaning involves removing the grease filters and washing them in hot soapy water or a commercial degreaser. The stainless steel canopy can be wiped down with a damp cloth and a mild detergent. The drain valve should be opened periodically to release accumulated grease, and the optional lamps should be checked for cleanliness to maintain good illumination.
The hood is supplied without lighting, but two screw-on lamps can be added as an option. The unit is ready for both wall and central mounting, providing flexibility for different kitchen layouts. Additional nozzles in 150 mm, 200 mm and 315 mm diameters can be purchased to adapt the exhaust collar to existing ductwork.
