Spindle extension, mod LF LI330

A spindle extension bridges the gap between a dishwasher's drive motor and the rotating wash arms in models where the motor sits lower or further back than the standard spindle length allows. The extension shaft transmits the motor's torque without flex or slippage, keeping the arms turning at the speed the manufacturer calibrated for optimum water coverage and soil removal. Without it, the arms may stall or spin unevenly, leaving some racks unwashed while others receive too much detergent or rinse water.

To install, the operator first isolates the machine from the power supply. The existing spindle is removed from the motor coupling, the extension is threaded on in its place, and the original spindle is then reattached to the top of the extension. Once the wash tank is refilled and the machine is powered back on, the cycle proceeds exactly as before; the operator sees no change in controls or programme times, only the restored rotation of the wash arms.

The extension is a single-piece stainless-steel shaft with machined splines at each end that match the couplings of the dishwasher brands it fits. It requires no lubrication or adjustment once installed and is cleaned simply by wiping with a damp cloth after each service interval to prevent detergent build-up.
