A solenoid valve controls the flow of steam, water or gas in professional catering appliances by using an electromagnetic coil to open or close a valve mechanism. When an electrical current passes through the coil, it creates a magnetic field that lifts a plunger or piston, allowing fluid to pass through the valve. When the current stops, a spring returns the plunger to its closed position, instantly shutting off the flow. The LF solenoid valve T&P 2-way 90° is installed where the appliance requires a right-angle connection.
