A solenoid valve controls the flow of liquids or steam through a hose line without manual intervention. When an electrical current is applied, the coil inside the valve generates a magnetic field that lifts a plunger or piston. This opens the internal passage, allowing water, steam or other fluids to move from the inlet to the outlet. When the current is cut, a spring returns the plunger to its closed position, stopping the flow instantly. This on-off action is used to automate taps, steam injection, cleaning cycles and other processes where timing and precision matter.

The LF RPE valve is a one-way unit with a single 8 mm port. It is fitted between hose ends to regulate flow in one direction only. The 180° designation indicates the valve body is shaped so the inlet and outlet lie in a straight line, minimising pressure drop and turbulence inside the hose run. The operator connects the valve to the control circuit, secures the hose fittings, and then uses a switch, timer or programmable controller to open or close the valve as needed.

Construction is a brass body with an internal solenoid coil and a spring-loaded plunger. The 8 mm port accepts standard hose tails or push-fit connectors used in catering water and steam systems. No additional controls or indicators are fitted; the valve responds solely to the electrical signal it receives.

The 8 mm port size matches common catering hose diameters, allowing the valve to be inserted into existing lines without adapters. The straight-through 180° body keeps the hose run neat and reduces the risk of kinks or leaks at the connection points. The brass construction withstands the temperatures and pressures typical of steam and hot-water service in professional kitchens.

Cleaning is limited to flushing the valve with water or a mild detergent solution while it is open, ensuring any debris is carried through the passage. The valve should be disconnected from the electrical supply before any maintenance is carried out.
