A sauce holder keeps three separate sauces warm or chilled on the worktop without spills or temperature drift. The unit holds the jars at a steady height so ladles reach the bottom without tipping, and the wide base prevents accidental knocks from overturning the assembly.
The holder is a steel frame with three circular openings. Each opening supports one porcelain jar that sits flush inside. Porcelain conducts heat slowly, so sauces stay at serving temperature longer than they would in metal containers. The jars are removable for filling, heating or cooling, and for thorough cleaning.
To use, place the empty jars in the holder. Fill each jar with sauce, then heat or chill the sauce to the desired temperature before service. The holder itself does not heat or cool; it simply holds the jars in place. During service, the operator dips a ladle into any jar without moving it, and the sauce remains at the set temperature until the jar is empty.
The frame is made of steel coated with black epoxy paint for corrosion resistance and easy wiping. The jars are glazed porcelain, which resists staining and does not absorb flavours. The holder measures 455 mm wide, 212 mm deep and 245 mm high, fitting neatly on a standard worktop or counter. Its total weight of 5.7 kg keeps it stable during use.
The holder accommodates three jars, each with a capacity of 1.3 L. The jars are 134 mm in diameter and 165 mm tall, providing enough depth for ladles to reach the bottom without scraping. No controls are fitted; the holder is a passive support unit.
The footprint of 455 by 212 mm means the holder occupies a compact space on the counter, leaving room for other equipment. The weight of 5.7 kg allows one person to move it when the jars are empty, but it is stable enough to remain in place during service.
Cleaning involves removing the jars, washing them in hot water with detergent, and wiping the steel frame with a damp cloth. The porcelain jars can also be run through a dishwasher if space allows. The epoxy coating on the frame resists moisture and detergents, so it does not require special treatment.
The Casselin CSAS3 is a single version with three jars included. It is designed for use with any hot or cold sauce that fits the 1.3 L capacity of the jars.
