A single-phase thermostat maintains the set temperature in professional catering appliances by cycling electrical power to the heating element. When the sensor detects the temperature has fallen below the target, the thermostat closes the circuit, allowing current to flow and the element to heat. Once the sensor registers the upper limit, the circuit opens, cutting power until the next cycle. This on-off regulation keeps the cooking surface or oven cavity within a narrow band, preventing overshoot and ensuring consistent results across batches.
The operator installs the thermostat into the appliance's control housing, connecting the two power terminals and the sensor lead. After securing the unit, the appliance is powered on and the desired temperature is set via the control knob or digital interface linked to the thermostat. The appliance then heats to the set point and the thermostat begins its cycling routine, automatically adjusting power as needed without further intervention.
Compatibility is confirmed for EGO, EMMEPI, EPMS and KREFFT appliances, allowing direct replacement of the original thermostat without modification to wiring or mounting points.
The catalogue places this part in the electrical spares section for professional catering equipment.
