A serving trolley moves plated dishes, beverages and serviceware from the kitchen pass to the dining area without spillage or delay. The unit rolls on four swivel castors, two of which lock to hold the trolley steady while staff load or unload. Shelves are positioned at working height so that plates and trays can be slid on and off without lifting, reducing strain on the operator and speeding service during peak hours.

The ARTEMIDE 2 is built on a stainless-steel frame that supports two solid-wood shelves. The lower shelf slides out on runners, allowing staff to reach items at the back without stretching. Four 125 mm castors give smooth movement over thresholds and floor joints; the two front castors can be locked to prevent the trolley drifting when stationary. A stainless-steel retaining bar is available as an option to keep plates and glasses secure during transport.

To use the trolley, unlock the castors and push the unit to the pass. Slide the lower shelf out, load plated dishes or trays onto both shelves, then slide the lower shelf back into place. Engage the castor brakes and wheel the trolley to the dining area. Unload in reverse order, ensuring the brakes are set whenever the trolley is stationary to prevent accidental movement.

The frame is constructed from stainless steel for corrosion resistance and easy cleaning. The shelves are solid wood, available in three standard colours—Natural, Walnut and Wenge—with additional finishes available on request. Optional retaining bars clip onto the edges of the shelves to prevent items sliding off during transit.

Controls are limited to the castor brakes, which are foot-operated levers on the front castors. These allow the operator to secure the trolley without bending or using hands, keeping both hands free for loading and unloading.

The overall dimensions of 1180 mm long, 590 mm wide and 890 mm high provide a compact footprint that fits through standard kitchen doorways while offering sufficient shelf space for a full service. The 49 kg weight ensures stability without making the trolley difficult to manoeuvre. Packing dimensions of 127 × 80 × 125 mm allow for efficient storage and shipping.

Cleaning involves wiping the stainless-steel frame with a damp cloth and mild detergent. The wood shelves should be cleaned with a wood-safe cleaner to preserve the finish. Castors should be checked regularly for debris that could impede movement, and the brakes should be tested to ensure they hold securely.

Optional extras include a set of four silicon castors (two with brakes) for quieter operation and additional retaining bars for securing items on the shelves. Custom colour finishes are available at an additional cost, allowing the trolley to match the kitchen's aesthetic or branding requirements.
