Stainless steel service trolley for GN1/1 containers
A service trolley moves hot or plated food from the kitchen line to the pass or servery without lifting. The upper shelf of this FORCAR model is sized to carry up to three GN1/1 gastronorm containers side by side, so a single trip can shift a full batch of starters, mains or desserts. The lower shelf gives extra space for plates, cutlery or condiments, keeping everything together and cutting the number of journeys needed.
The trolley rolls on four large multidirectional wheels that swivel independently, letting the operator steer through tight doorways and around corners without tilting the load. A rubber shock absorber under the frame dampens vibration and noise, so the trolley runs quietly even when the floor is uneven or the load is heavy. The wheels lock to hold the trolley in place while food is transferred or the containers are refilled.
Both shelves are made of AISI 304 stainless steel, a grade chosen for its resistance to corrosion and staining in a busy kitchen. The lower shelf is folded at the edges to add strength and prevent items sliding off, while the upper shelf is flat to accept standard GN1/1 containers without clips or rails. The entire frame is welded for rigidity and finished with a brushed surface that hides minor scratches and fingerprints.
The trolley's footprint of 770 by 620 mm fits through standard kitchen doorways and leaves enough aisle space for staff to pass. Its height of 970 mm places the upper shelf at a comfortable working level for most operators, reducing the need to bend or stretch. The maximum load of 100 kg allows the trolley to carry three fully loaded GN1/1 containers plus additional items on the lower shelf without risk of buckling or instability.
Cleaning is straightforward: wipe both shelves with a damp cloth and mild detergent after each service. The folded edges of the lower shelf prevent spills from dripping onto the floor, and the open frame design leaves no corners where dirt can collect. The wheels can be removed for deeper cleaning if needed, and the rubber shock absorber is easily replaced if it wears over time.
Containers are not included, so the trolley can be used with any brand of GN1/1 tray or pan.
