A hot buffet bar keeps prepared dishes at serving temperature for hours without drying or scorching. The bain-marie system circulates warm water around the food containers, transferring heat gently and evenly. Two heating elements beneath the stainless-steel tank raise the water temperature, while the water bath itself prevents hot spots and maintains moisture in meats, vegetables and sauces. The operator sets the desired temperature between 20 °C and 90 °C, and the system holds it until the last portion is served.
To begin service, the operator fills the tank with water, loads up to six GN1/1 gastronorm containers into the wells, and switches the unit on. The LED lighting illuminates the dishes from above, while the mirrored back panel reflects the presentation. Diners approach from both long sides; each side has a drop-down shelf that folds out for plates or cutlery. When the meal is finished, the stainless-steel draining tap empties the tank in minutes, ready for cleaning.
The buffet bar is built on a wooden cabinet finished in light oak, mahogany, wenge or limed white. The top is framed in aluminium profiles and covered with a tempered-glass panel. Under the glass, a central shelf holds additional plates or condiments. The cabinet base provides storage for crockery and has four double castors—two with brakes—so the unit can be moved across the floor and locked in place. A removable shelf at the back allows the bar to stand flush against standard 0.8 m doors.
The 230 V supply powers the heating elements and the LED lighting. The 3.6 kW load requires a dedicated circuit in a professional kitchen. The 2070 mm length gives room for six full-size GN1/1 containers side by side, while the 950 mm depth leaves space for the drop-down shelves to open without blocking the aisle. The 115 kg weight means two people are needed to move the bar safely, and the castors must be on a level, smooth floor to prevent tipping.
Cleaning is straightforward: the stainless-steel tank and draining tap are wiped down after each service, and the glass top and wooden surfaces are cleaned with a damp cloth. The heating elements are accessed from the front for routine maintenance.
The SB60C is available in four wood finishes: light oak, mahogany, wenge and limed white. It is supplied without GN trays.
