A refrigerated buffet that circulates chilled air across a stainless steel well keeps prepared dishes at safe serving temperatures without drying them out. A fan draws air over an evaporator coil cooled by R290 refrigerant, lowering the air temperature before it is gently blown across the well. This continuous airflow prevents hot spots and ensures even cooling from the first tray to the last, while automatic defrost cycles clear frost from the coil without manual intervention.

The operator loads up to four GN1/1 gastronorm pans into the 26 cm deep well, sets the digital thermostat between +2 °C and +10 °C, and leaves the unit to maintain the chosen temperature. A drain cock at the base of the well allows condensate and cleaning water to be released without lifting the unit. Adjustable feet with a skirting board level the buffet on uneven floors and protect the wall from scuffs.

The buffet's structure is stainless steel, clad in laminated wood panels available in sixteen colours, or in stainless steel or powder-coated steel. The well has rounded edges for safety and easy cleaning. A lower compartment with doors can be added to store back-up pans or serving utensils, and the unit stands on four 125 mm diameter steel castors, two with brakes, for mobility between service areas.

Controls consist of a digital thermostat that sets and displays the well temperature. The 230 V supply powers the compressor and fan, while optional LED lighting adds illumination without raising the base power draw of 0.380 kW.

A capacity of four GN1/1 pans allows a full meal service for primary schools, and the 1496 mm width fits standard worktop depths. The 99 kg weight requires two people to move the unit when castors are locked, and the 155 cm packing length ensures it passes through standard doorways.

Cleaning involves wiping the stainless steel well and exterior panels with a damp cloth, draining the well after each service, and periodically defrosting the evaporator coil via the automatic cycle. Optional accessories such as foldable dish holders, tray slides, and removable display grids attach without tools and can be cleaned separately.

The KIDS 4 RV is configurable with front or rear dish holders, stainless steel or laminated wood tray slides, and custom adhesive stickers. It is designed for primary school catering and is placed in the refrigerated buffet section of the professional catering equipment catalogue.
