A neutral buffet unit designed for primary schools and family hotels, the ROCAM KIDS 4N holds four GN 1/1 containers at a comfortable serving height. The unit stands alone or links seamlessly with other KIDS buffet models to form a continuous service line, adapting to the flow of young diners or hotel guests.

The buffet relies on a sturdy frame that supports both the containers and any chosen accessories without sagging. A stainless steel structure forms the core, ensuring hygiene and strength, while the exterior can be finished in laminated wood, stainless steel or powder-coated steel panels. This combination allows the unit to blend with existing kitchen decor or stand out as a focal point in the dining area.

Operation is straightforward: staff load the GN 1/1 containers into the top wells, set out cutlery and condiments on the work surface, and adjust any foldable tray slides to guide the queue. When service ends, the slides fold flat against the unit, reducing its footprint for storage or cleaning. Optional lower compartments with doors provide extra space for backup supplies, keeping the worktop clear during peak times.

The unit arrives with a set of 125 mm diameter steel castors, two of which lock to prevent rolling once the buffet is in position. A range of foldable dish holders, tray slides and removable rails can be added to either the front or back, or to the short sides, allowing the same buffet to serve from both faces or to lean against a wall. Each accessory is secured with reinforced hinges that withstand repeated opening and closing in a busy environment.

Externally, the buffet measures 1496 mm wide, 747 mm deep and 750 mm high, fitting through standard doorways and under most ceiling lights. The lower compartment, when specified, offers 1258 mm of usable width and 302 mm of height, enough for bulk supplies or small equipment. The entire unit weighs 72 kg, light enough for two staff to wheel into place but heavy enough to remain stable during service.

Customisation extends to the finish: choose from twenty-two colours including silver, rose, saffron, lime, sky, ocean, ivy, sage, cappuccino, clay, grey, Niagara, veined white, white sand, birch, grey fog, elm, walnut, wenge, anthracite, veined black or retain the natural stainless steel look. Each colour is applied to the powder-coated panels, while laminated wood and stainless steel finishes remain available for a more neutral or industrial appearance.

Cleaning follows from the materials: stainless steel surfaces wipe down with a damp cloth and mild detergent, while laminated wood and powder-coated panels resist stains and can be sanitised with standard kitchen sprays. The castors and hinges require occasional lubrication to keep them moving smoothly, and any removable tray slides lift out for deeper cleaning or replacement.

Variants include different panel materials—laminated wood, stainless steel or powder-coated steel—and a long list of accessories that transform the same base unit into a wall-mounted station, a double-sided island or a compact corner piece. Each accessory is coded for easy ordering, and the unit can be reconfigured later as needs change without replacing the entire buffet.
