A neutral buffet unit designed to hold three GN 1/1 containers, the ROCAM KIDS 3N creates a self-service point for primary schools and family hotels. Its modular construction allows it to stand alone or link with other KIDS buffet models to form a continuous line, adapting to the layout of the dining space.

Buffet units of this type provide a stable, accessible surface for trays, dishes and containers. The structure supports the weight of filled serving vessels while keeping them at a comfortable height for children and adults. Shelves or compartments below the worktop store additional supplies, reducing the need for repeated trips to the kitchen. The unit's footprint is kept compact to fit within tight dining areas, yet the work surface remains wide enough to hold multiple containers side by side.

To use the KIDS 3N, the operator first selects the desired configuration of tray slides and dish holders from the available options. These are fitted to the short or long sides, front or back, depending on the flow of service. Containers are placed on the slides or directly on the worktop, and the unit is positioned where diners will pass. If lower storage is specified, doors are opened to load extra supplies, then closed to keep the area tidy. During service, staff monitor the containers and refill as needed, while the unit's castors allow it to be moved for cleaning or reconfiguration.

The KIDS 3N is built on a stainless steel frame that resists corrosion and supports the weight of filled containers. Panels can be specified in laminated wood, stainless steel or powder-coated steel, each offering a different balance of durability and appearance. The worktop is kept at a standard height for self-service, while the lower compartment, when fitted, provides enclosed storage. Castors with brakes secure the unit in place during service and allow it to be rolled away afterwards.

Controls are limited to the castor brakes, which lock the unit in position. Each brake is set by foot, freeing the operator's hands for loading or unloading.

The external dimensions of 1171 × 747 × 750 mm create a footprint that fits within most school or hotel dining areas, while the 63 kg weight ensures stability without making the unit difficult to move. The lower compartment, when included, measures 933 × 302 mm, offering space for additional supplies without increasing the overall width. Packing dimensions of 135 × 92 × 120/185 cm allow the unit to be transported through standard doorways and corridors.

Cleaning follows from the materials chosen. Stainless steel panels and tray slides can be wiped with a damp cloth and sanitiser, while laminated wood requires a mild detergent to avoid damaging the surface. Powder-coated steel is cleaned similarly to stainless steel but may need occasional touch-ups to prevent chipping. Castors are checked for debris that could impede movement, and brakes are tested to ensure they hold securely.

The KIDS 3N is available with a range of optional accessories, including foldable dish holders in laminated wood or stainless steel, tube-style tray slides, and lower compartments with doors. Colour choices for the panels include silver, rose, saffron, lime, sky, ocean, ivy, sage, cappuccino, clay, grey, Niagara, veined white, white sand, birch, grey fog, elm, walnut, wenge, anthracite and veined black. Each option is selected at the time of order to match the decor of the dining space.
