A water-heated buffet keeps serving dishes at a steady temperature without direct flame or electric elements touching the food. The stainless steel tank holds water, which is warmed by adhesive silicone resistors beneath the base. Heat spreads evenly through the water, creating a gentle, uniform warmth that surrounds GN containers placed inside. Because the heat source is indirect, there is no risk of scorching or hot spots, and the rounded edges of the tank make it easy to clean. A digital thermostat regulates the water temperature, allowing the operator to set anything from a cool holding point just above freezing to a gentle simmer for sauces or soups.

To use the unit, fill the tank with water through the built-in filling system, then plug it into a 230 V supply. Set the desired temperature on the digital thermostat and wait for the water to reach the target. Once the water is hot, lower GN containers into the well; the water bath keeps them at the chosen temperature until service ends. A drain tap at the base lets the operator empty the tank quickly after use, and the adjustable feet allow the unit to sit level on uneven floors.

The structure is stainless steel, with panelling available in laminated wood, stainless steel or powder-coated steel. The exterior dimensions of 1171 × 747 × 750 mm create a compact footprint for school kitchens, while the 1017 × 593 × 260 mm well holds three GN1/1 containers side by side. A lower compartment, which can be fitted with doors, offers additional storage or optional fan-assisted heating for extra capacity. The 66.5 kg weight is distributed on four castors—two with brakes—so the unit can be moved and locked into place without lifting.

The 1.5 kW power rating draws a modest load on a standard 230 V circuit, leaving capacity for other equipment on the same supply. The 0–90 °C temperature range covers everything from chilled holding to gentle reheating, making the buffet adaptable across the school menu. Customisable colours for the panelling let the unit blend with the school's decor, and a range of modular accessories—folding dish holders, tray slides, display grids and lighting options—can be added to suit the layout of the serving line.

Cleaning follows from the construction: the stainless steel tank and rounded edges wipe down quickly, the drain tap removes water without tipping the unit, and the adjustable feet keep the base clear of floor debris. Removable accessories such as the display grid and tray slides can be taken off and washed separately, while the laminated wood or powder-coated panels resist moisture and stains.
