A refrigerated buffet keeps prepared dishes chilled while they are displayed and served. The unit draws heat from the stainless-steel well with a static refrigeration system that circulates cold air without a fan. This method avoids drying the food and keeps the surface temperature even across the entire well, so every pan stays at the set point without hot or cold spots.

The operator loads up to four GN1/1 gastronorm pans into the well, sets the digital thermostat between +2 °C and +10 °C, and switches on the neon lighting above the fixed Plexiglas sneezeguard. The unit maintains the chosen temperature continuously, allowing food to be held safely for service. A drain cock at the base of the well lets condensate and cleaning water run off without lifting the pans.

The structure is laminated wood in a choice of twenty colours, with chromed details and a stainless-steel well 18 cm deep. Two castors with brakes allow the unit to be moved into position and then locked in place. The digital thermostat is mounted on the front panel, giving direct control over the refrigeration cycle.

A power rating of 0.362 kW shows the load on the electrical circuit; the 230 V requirement matches a standard single-phase supply found in most professional kitchens. The 180 kg weight indicates that two people are needed to move the unit safely. The footprint of 1434 mm wide by 654 mm deep fits into a standard worktop run or can stand alone in a serving area. The +2 °C to +10 °C range is designed for holding chilled starters, salads, desserts and cold platters, not for freezing or blast-chilling.

Cleaning involves wiping the laminated wood surfaces with a damp cloth, removing the GN pans to wash them separately, and rinsing the stainless-steel well with water drained through the cock. The neon lighting tube is replaced when it dims, and the castors are checked periodically to ensure the brakes hold securely.
