A neutral buffet module organises self-service lines without imposing a fixed layout. The ATHENA SAL 3 VP from ROCAM provides a base structure of laminated wood that supports both enclosed storage and open display. Doors and a central compartment keep plates, trays or utensils within reach while shielding them from airborne particles and customer interference. An adjustable middle shelf inside the lower cupboard doubles usable space, letting the operator separate different items or adjust clearance for taller containers. Soft-close hinges on every door and drawer prevent slamming, reducing noise and wear in busy service periods.

The unit stands on four 75 mm castors, two of which lock, so it can be positioned precisely along a counter or moved for deep cleaning. A flat worktop of either formica or stainless steel gives a stable surface for temporary staging of dishes or condiments. Optional folding or removable tray slides, dish holders and display grids clip onto the short side, converting the same module from a closed storage unit into an open display station as the menu changes. Each accessory is chosen from a range of materials—laminated wood, stainless steel or steel tube—so the operator can match the buffet's appearance to the rest of the line or to the theme of an event.

Assembly begins by unlocking the castors and wheeling the module into place. The operator adjusts the middle shelf to the required height, then loads the lower cupboard through the doors. If open display is needed, the chosen tray slides or dish holders are clipped onto the short side and secured. Doors and drawers are opened only when items are added or removed, keeping the interior clean and the workflow smooth. After service, the removable dividers and accessories are taken out for separate cleaning, while the laminated wood surfaces are wiped with a damp cloth and mild detergent.

The laminated wood construction resists scratches and moisture, while stainless-steel details protect high-contact points. A choice of twenty-four colours for the finish lets the module blend with existing decor or stand out as a design feature. The 158 kg weight ensures stability during service, yet the castors allow one person to reposition it when the kitchen layout changes. The 1501 mm width fits standard self-service counters, leaving space for adjacent hot or cold modules without crowding the aisle.

Optional accessories include reinforced 125 mm castors for heavier loads, custom adhesive stickers for branding, and a 45° cut on the short side to integrate angled tray slides.
