This neutral module integrates seamlessly into self-service lines, offering flexible storage beneath a durable worktop. The Athena SAL 2 features enclosed compartments to keep items secure and dust-free, while the open worktop provides space for trays or dispensers during service. Four castors, two with brakes, allow easy repositioning without lifting, making it simple to move between shifts or cleaning routines.

The lower section is accessed via two doors, with an adjustable shelf inside to create two storage levels. Soft-close hinges ensure quiet operation in busy dining areas. Above the doors, two full-width drawers glide on the same mechanism. Removable dividers let operators organise the interior for cutlery, napkins or small utensils. For alternative configurations, the N version removes the drawers entirely, leaving space for plate holders or tray slides beneath the worktop.

The worktop is finished in laminated wood, offering a balance of durability and visual warmth. For environments requiring enhanced hygiene or heat resistance, a stainless-steel worktop is available. The laminated structure extends to the sides and back, with stainless-steel details—such as handles and trim—providing contrast and easy maintenance.

Operators can load the drawers or shelf, close the doors, and wheel the unit into place. During service, the worktop holds trays or dispensers, while the doors and drawers remain accessible for restocking. The soft-close mechanism prevents slamming, and the castors allow movement without emptying the unit. After service, the module can be rolled to a cleaning station or left in position for the next shift.

Constructed from laminated wood panels, the module resists warping in humid kitchen conditions. Stainless-steel components, including handles and drawer fronts, ensure durability and hygiene. The four 75 mm castors, two with brakes, support the weight and enable smooth movement across hard floors.

No electrical or mechanical settings are required; the unit is ready for use once assembled. The weight ensures stability during use but allows two operators to move it when empty. The packing size permits delivery through standard doorways and lifts.

Cleaning is straightforward: laminated wood surfaces can be wiped with a damp cloth and mild detergent, while stainless-steel parts tolerate stronger cleaners. Castors should be checked for debris, and soft-close hinges may need occasional adjustment to maintain quiet operation.

Multiple versions are available. The standard model includes two drawers with dividers and doors, while the N version omits drawers for open plate storage. The worktop can be specified in laminated wood or stainless steel. Optional accessories include foldable dish holders in wood or stainless steel, tray slides in laminated wood or stainless-steel tube, removable display grids and reinforced castors. A 45° cut can be added to integrate with other modules, and a range of colours allows matching to existing kitchen decor.
