A refrigerated cabinet that circulates chilled air continuously through a fan keeps every shelf at the same temperature, eliminating hot spots and ensuring food stays fresh longer. The fan draws warm air from the interior, passes it over an evaporator coil cooled by refrigerant gas, then returns the cooled air evenly across all levels. This method prevents frost build-up and reduces the need for manual defrosting cycles, allowing the cabinet to run without interruption during service hours.

The operator loads food onto the four adjustable shelves—three full-width and one narrower—then sets the electronic temperature control between 0 °C and +8 °C. Once powered on, the ECOVENT system maintains the chosen temperature automatically, while an internal light illuminates the contents for easy identification. Automatic defrosting removes ice from the evaporator coil at set intervals, and the resulting condensate water evaporates without manual intervention, keeping the interior dry and hygienic.

The cabinet is constructed from stainless steel AISI 430, chosen for its resistance to corrosion and ease of cleaning in a professional kitchen. The exterior measures 775 mm wide, 750 mm deep and 1860 mm high, fitting through standard doorways and under most worktops. Inside, the usable space spans 635 mm by 460 mm by 1627 mm, providing 538 litres of storage. A 70 mm layer of insulation surrounds the interior, reducing heat transfer and stabilising internal temperatures even when ambient conditions reach +30 °C and 55% relative humidity.

The 280 W power rating reflects the energy-efficient compressor and fan, drawing a modest load on a 220-240 V, 50 Hz circuit. At 135 kg, the cabinet is heavy enough to remain stable on the floor yet light enough to be moved with a pallet truck or two staff members. The refrigerant gas R600a is non-ozone-depleting and has a low global warming potential, aligning with current environmental standards.

Cleaning involves wiping the stainless steel surfaces with a damp cloth and mild detergent, while the shelves lift out for thorough washing. The automatic condensate evaporation system removes the need to empty drip trays, reducing daily upkeep. The cabinet is supplied with three shelves measuring 650 mm by 527 mm and one shelf 650 mm by 297 mm, allowing flexible organisation of different container sizes.
